Week of Miracles

September 1, 2014

Dear Family and Friends,

This week has been crazy. We were on bike week... well sorta... we couldn't bike because of my back so we were on walk week. We saw a lot of miracles though. When you make sacrifices the Lord truly does bless you.

We found this new family and we are going to give them all a baptismal date this week. We went from no progressing investigators to about 5. We met a crazy guy who had been to all 9 continents... yes he did say 9... ha ha I'm curious what other 2 continents he has been to but whatever. We did the ice bucket challenge on a member this week. That was pretty fun.

We had members come out with us almost everyday this week and we seriously just saw miracles all week long. We found new and interesting ways of finding people... using animals we were taking this dog back and ended up teaching Jafar (yes jafar like from Aladdin).

We seriously had people placed in our path all week long. We found a guy named Lui and he came to church this week. It was pretty amazing. We got into a lot of bible bashes and when you share a scripture with somebody they completely ignore and just keep trying to prove us wrong. We got dropped by a less active who told us he doesn't want anything to do with the church anymore... that was a hard lesson and we were crying afterwards. You could feel the spirit so strong in the lesson and it broke my heart to see him reject it.

We were walking home on Saturday night and we just felt impressed to stop by and talk with this woman that looked spanish. It was dark and we talked with her and turns out she has been to our church in Durango, Mexico and she wants to be baptized.  We are meeting with her this week. it seriously was a week of miracles. We did it when we didn't think we could. We pushed forward even though we had no more energy. Keep pushing forward, never give up, and most importantly have a good attitude. Your life is what you make of it!

Love,
