Dear Friends and Family,
This week has been crazy. So much has happened. I went back to
the hospital and got another injection in my back. I'm not sure whether
it is working or not. I had to get a double injection.. one in my disk
and another one into my joint. Hopefully this one takes care of it
otherwise the only other option is that I just might be coming home
for surgery.

We
had tornado warnings here. I guess 90 degree weather and heavy rain
don't mix. We did not get any sleep because our storm radio kept going
off. We were just waiting for when we had to go to the laundry room
downstairs to wait out the storm. Hopefully we never have to see a real
tornado.
We are starting to see a lot of success here. It has been very slow
here in Jackson but things are starting to improve. We have been
praying to find people, and we have followed the promptings of the
spirit and the Lord led us to people we needed to talk to. We acted on
the promptings we received and we were terrified to talk to those
people... we recognized that satan was trying to stop us from talking to
them. Nothing amazing happened but I KNOW that the Lord led us to those
people.
We received a lot of referrals this week and have been trying
to contact all of them but almost every single one of them was not home
everytime but we always talked to someone nearby and they always
listened to us. We found so many people this week because we opened our
mouths. We found Zelner by stopping by a referral. She wasn't there and
we saw Zelner sitting outside. We could have gotten back into the car
and tried someone else. Instead we went up and talked to Zelner and
Nancy. We gave him a book of mormon and committed him to read it. We
followed up with him and he asked us if he could meet with us on Tuesday
because he wants to finish the book of mormon before he meets with us.
We contacted another media referral and the lady only wanted a bible and
wouldn't accept anything else. She wouldn't even listen to anything
else we had to say. We were talking about the book of mormon and her
daughter Marie came in and asked if she could have the book of mormon.
We gave her it and she has been reading. We met with this lady Miss
Betty, she lives in an assisted living home and we have been meeting
with her for awhile and she never would let us teach. I have been
wanting to talk to her about the gospel and have been praying for that
opportunity to teach her. We taught her about what we believe and what
makes our church different. I corrected some miscommunications about our
church.
We felt inspired to visit a less active and she kept coming to my mind. I told Hermana Mitchell and for the first time this less active was home. We talked to her and she is so ready to come back to church. We definitely got an in with her. In between conference sessions yesterday we felt like we needed to go find someone. We went to go visit an investigator and she wasn't there and we felt prompted to go back to this guy that we saw as we were driving by. We stopped by and we got a return appointment. I KNOW that when we pray to find people, and act on the promptings we receive we will see success.
