P-Day, Miracles and Store Contacting

November 17, 2014

Dear Family and Friends,

Finally got to get to work this week and for the last few weeks of my mission. It's starting to get pretty cold here in the south. We saw some miracles from having shorter P-days... just goes to prove that when you make sacrifices for the work and also step out of your comfort zone the Lord blesses you.

We met this woman named Blair and at first she was not interested but as we talked with her she opened up and asked us a question that no one had been able to answer... which is exactly what our message is about. We gave her a Book of Mormon and she agreed to read it. It was an amazing day with lots of miracles.

We met a lot of people that we wouldn't have met had we still been enjoying P-day. We went on exchanges and I went to Bryant for the day. It was a completely different ball game to go from Spanish and going from poorer than poor to people who are more well off or from the back woods of Arkansas with goats and 10 dogs and deer meat in their freezer.

We contacted a former investigator Ericka and we have helped her to start to read the Book of Mormon. It is amazing what you find as you follow the spirit.... you find those people that are ready. On Thursday we were freezing cold and all our appointments fell through so we decided to go store contacting... the only store Hispanics go to is Walmart and usually on weekends between 5 and 8. It was 3 in the afternoon and we weren't thinking there were gonna be any Hispanics there but as we put our faith to the test we taught 5 lessons to different Hispanic families.

We reset a baptismal date with Daisy and overcame concerns with Luis. Looks like we are going to be baptizing on my last P-day.... what an incredible experience that will be. This week we have seen lots of miracles and as we serve the Lord with all our heart, might, mind, and strength we are starting to see the Lord prepare people to receive the gospel.

I love yall and hope you have a good week... only 2 more.

Con Amor,
